There's something off about this world.
Probably, many people have noticed.
But speaking up won't make the world move.
So it seems wiser to accept the rules and try to live skillfully within them.
How many points you scored.
How much you earned.
How many "likes" you got.
With yardsticks that felt like truth itself,
we've been measuring ourselves since childhood,
and even now, people measure people, label them, rank them,
and quietly stick price tags on them.
Embarrassingly, I'm no exception.
And yet, I believe this:
people can step away from the old yardsticks and live more and more like themselves.
There are people who don't care how others measure them.
There are people who give real value to someone without expecting anything in return.
There are people who think seriously about the future and act on it.
I want to build a world where people like that are naturally rewarded.
Not a world where people compete to one-up each other,
but one where people say, "Ah, the way that person lives is beautiful,"
and admire one another. That's the world I want to see.
The yardsticks we use now were made by people.
Which means people should be able to remake them.
If you too feel that something about this world is off,
I hope you'll never forget that feeling.
And I hope you'll join us at Gaudiy, to build together
a new yardstick, a new story: the "Fandom State."
